God's Open Arms

FAQs

1. How do you prepare & deliver the food?

Answer: We prepare the meals the day of delivery, making every effort to deliver a hot meal to our friends. Foods are loaded into containers and travel in our trailer. Once we arrive, we set up a table and serve our friends after a devotion.

2. Where do you serve?

Answer: Anywhere God calls us! On Monday Evenings, we visit our friends in Hancock Co. along US 40. On Thursday Evenings, we travel to homeless camps in downtown Indianapolis.

3. I'd like to donate something - what do you need?

Answer: We collect clothing, hotel-sized bottles of shampoo, flat-bottom candles, dog food, toys, and much more! Our needs are constantly changing as God guides this ministry. Please use the contact us form and let us know what you'd like to donate.

4. Do you need volunteers to help cook the hot food you distribute?

Answer: Yes! We coordinate different volunteers and volunteer groups to help prepare the food. If you or your small group would like to learn more about food prep, please contact us today.

5. Are you affiliated with a Church?

Answer: God's Open Arms is made up of people from many different Churches. We are not sponsored or funded by a single Church. We do partner with some local Churches to host missions events, learn of new needs in the community, and develop our team of volunteers.

About Us

God's Open Arms Ministry is a family of Christian brothers and sisters who strive to love like Jesus; to be His hands, His feet and His voice; as we humbly feed, clothe, visit with and encourage the homeless and those in need.
